Beading Club April 2018
Lapidary has
had another fun and successful season with lots of new classes and creative
learning opportunities. Just a few
highlights include, polymer clay, resin, card making with bead accents, wire
wrapping, silversmithing making
beautiful rings, glass fusing, alcohol
inks, free beading classes with kits provided for a slight fee, bead stringing
and jewelry made from silverware. If any of this sounds fun come join the club. It is a great place to learn new things and
show off your own creative side.
As our
season comes to a close for many of our residents, we are happy to say the club
remains open to all members throughout
the summer. At this time there are no scheduled classes
but there are several full time members that will get together to share their
talents. The same rules apply, if doing
silversmithing or lapidary there is always a buddy system.
This year we
decided it was time for our club to give back to our community. As a group we made 40 plus necklaces, earrings
and bracelets. All proceeds from the
sale of these items will go to Benevilla and Salvation Army / backpacks for
school children. Stop by the Lakes Rec.
Center and take a look in the window.
