CLUB LUNCHEON

Our Westbrook Village Lapidary Club had a wonderful luncheon today at Alicia’s house.  We all brought a dish to share.  Wow, the goodies were delicious and the ladies are great it was a fun time had by all.
Alicia, is a wonderful artist and has so much talent and it is all over her house from quilting to stained glass.   We all enjoyed the tour. Thank you for opening your home.
We also had a great meeting so many new ideas for the club in the New Year.  Silversmithing, (PMC) Precious Metal Clay and so much more.
Please visit us at the Lakes Rec Center. Our new year will start in October when the “snow birds” return, also most of our Canadian friends return then also.  If you wish to start earlier come by Monday-Wednesday-Friday.  Check with The Lifestyles Magazine for phone numbers of members who stay for the summer.

Westbrook Village Lapidary Spring 2012

Westbrook Village Lapidary Spring 2012

This is the first blog posting for our Westbrook Village Lapidary Club in Arizona.  We are a group of very energetic men and woman.

We learn from each other and take classes. The jewelry that is created is so beautiful.  But.  We also make mistakes. Which we laugh at and go on “life is a learning expierence”.  Our club is a place and time to share and meet people just like yourself that enjoy “BLING”

Lapidary is creating jewelry from precious and semiprecious stones.   Silver, creating jewelry from Sterling Silver and silver plate. Beading, Stringing, Crochet with beads.  Glass fusing is another form of creating jewelry it is kiln-formed glass.  As you can see we are a busy group of happy artists.

In the past few months some of us took a class with Barbara and Alicia learning how to make art from Sterling Silver forks and spoons, we created bracelets and pendants in Silver, others took a class in making Kim’s Itty Bitty Tennis Bracelet, and some glass fusing and I can go on and on
